Join us for a hands-on workshop to discover new tools!

Becky Eliason, whose art was the focus of our last meeting, will share fun ideas using twistable crayons, Bingo markers, and more.   If you have tools you enjoy working with that others might not know about, bring those and share!

Becky Eliason, left, and Carol Rosenberg shared a presentation in June on Becky's art, inventions, and career.  It was a great presentation and all who attended gained motivation to get out the good paper and get going.

Working with Alcohol Ink

Larry Gabler brought his collection of alcohol inks and demonstrated how to create beautiful patterns in vibrant colors. He used inks from Ranger and PiƱata on glossy paper and on acetate.  Here's one of the examples he made for us using Lettuce, Cranberry, and Eggplant inks from the Ranger Adirondack Alcohol Ink line.

Larry also showed us some ideas for integrating our alcohol ink designs with lettering.  Everyone at the meeting enjoyed experimenting with the inks, and we now have a new dimension we can add to our lettering!  Thanks, Larry!

Reminder: April 2012 Meeting

Join us as Larry Gabler discusses how to use alcohol inks to create bookcovers and art papers!
